There are certain things that you absolutely need to know that your web hosting company can do for you in terms of Customer and Client Support, as well as being certain that they have the most up-to-date equipment that is being made to be able to meet the needs of their clients. The following are things that you need to be looking for when you are choosing a web hosting company for your website. 1. State-of-the-Art/Up -to-Date Equipment. It would really be very bad for a web hosting company to show potential clients that their equipment is not the best in the business, or at least up-to-date. When you start talking with any web host you need to ask what type(s) of Servers that web host uses and how they are maintained. 2. Good or Excellent Technical Support Staff It has been said many, many times that if you are going to have the best equipment, you need to have the technical support personnel on staff that can very quickly and safely diagnose and repair any and all problems that will come up as quickly as they come up. As long as the web host has good qualified technical support people on its staff, this is one that you are going to be safe working with. 3. Customer and Client Support People that Are Knowledgeable This is a must whenever you or any of your customers need to call on the Customer or Client Support staff to get answers to your questions and/or get the ball rolling in the process of getting a downed website back up and running. You need to know that the Customer Support staff are very polite and will answer your customer’s questions quickly and politely. You also need to know that the Client Support staff knows when they are able to help you solve your problems and when to call in the tech support people. 4. Facilities that are Up-to-Date structurally and Climate Controlled This is something that is extremely important as it pertains to the servers themselves and how those servers are maintained. If the web host’s servers are housed in a building that is not structurally sound and/or not climate controlled, those servers are not going to be working as well as they can. The servers are extremely sensitive to temperature fluctuations and to dust in the air. It is extremely important that the servers are housed in a building that is well maintained. 5. A Courteous Staff This is the very last thing on this list and is as important as the rest. You need to know that not only will you be greeted pleasantly and courteously by the web hosting company’s staff (support staff and technicians) but that your employees (if you have any) and your customers will also be treated courteously by all involved. IF you do not feel that this is the case; or you see/hear this for yourself, you need to reconsider working with that particular web host. Hosting reviews will help you make a quick decision of what to do next. |
