Picking Water From Air

A new contraption developed by a Canadian firm (Element Four) has created a home-use appliance that can create water by condensing air molecules. It’s ball shape closely resembles a globe that is chopped in half. This water goes through a sterilizing process and through UV light to kill unwanted bacteria and other things that can make us sick and finally out the spout of out sink and or Fridge. Will it take off? “Bottled water is an ecological catastrophe. In the US alone, about 30bn litres of bottled water is consumed every year at a cost of about $11bn (£7.4bn).” The water supply worldwide is not going to improve any time soon and this is a very strong candidate to change the way we think about the environment. During dry climate areas, the machine changes the way it collects water by collecting more at moist times such as early morning or during the night.
