PS-TUTS.COM - OVER 2.200 PHOTOSHOP TUTORIALS!

Ps-tuts.com is a site that has put together some of the most useful photo shop tutorials and has arranged them all on one page, well I shouldn’t say they are all on one page but the categories and links have an easy to follow set up where there are no extra pages of menus or categories.

The site is broken down into few categories, which makes it simple to use. The first menu is titled categories where it breaks the tutorials available into animations, basics, buttons/orbs, and other basics of webpage design and with hundreds of tutorials to choose from I think these are sensible categories and most people would be able to orientate themselves quite easily throughout the website.

Being geared around website design the also offer links to a hosting company and a review site to assist you in more aspects of having your own site and not just designing the website itself.

But I think the best part of this site is the tutorials list down the center of the page. For example, when you click on a category like basics, then a list of tutorials appear with a small picture of what the tutorial will show you, and short description, which makes it easy to get right to the tutorial that you are looking for. Also, if you are partial to one of the authors you can go directly to the authors section, click on the author of your choice and you are given lists of tutorials they offer.

TEMPLATESPIN.COM - FREE Wordpress, phpBB, b2evolution and Joomla Tempaltes!!

My first impression of templatespin.com was that it looks really good, and considering that by the likes of the name the whole point of this site is to download FREE nice designed wordpress, joomla, phpbBB and b2evoltuion templates Templatespin also have a new forum to have users discuss their ideas, experience and pass on information about different template sites and programs.  Unfortunately, there is nothing actually written on this site as of yet, but they have few users and looks like they are just starting out, so I’ll give them a break….these things take time to get going.

On another note, the site looks great and is set up very user friendly.   The forum is broken down into categories. One of them called "Template ideas and requests" and another called "Discussions". Although discussions are bound to happen in any of the different area it makes it a lot easier to get around if you know where you can find something specific. 

The free templates section contains about 100 unique templates at this time -> and they uploading new designs and themes nearly each day.

GREATGAMR.COM - Thousands of nice browser based games!

After a short 3-field registration I was in, to the free online game site GreatGamr.com.  I was actually pretty surprised when after registering there was no pop-up section popped telling me that I must pay a monthly fee or that I needed to choose one of the following four offers, or some other company that uses these kinds of sites as a gimmick.  My next thought was that they must not be very good games, but they were simply great games.  Quite frankly it was simple and easy to register, there are over 1300 games to choose from. 

Their menu starts with massive multiplayer, then action games which even includes a version of the classic Mario Bros., then adventure games such as Sponge Bob Square pants and Adventures of a Cow, followed by arcade games, puzzles, shooting, sports and then finally strategy.  Being a fan of the timeless game of Tetris I was excited to check out their strategy category, it didn’t show up in the first few shown, I have to say I was fairly disappointed but quickly noticed the search button off to the left side.  Quickly, I typed in Tetris and sure enough 12 different Tetris games appeared.   Everything from the standard Tetris to new fangled ones...I think I might give Ultimate Tetrix a try! - NOW NEW! - Massive Multiplayer Broswer games - play with thousands of concorrent gamers!

THESEOFAQ.COM - SEO Knowledge -> to BOOST your rankings!

When it comes to Internet searches I sometimes believe there must be a higher power…well at the very least, one in my computer.  You type in any sequence of words into your search engine and miraculously there are thousands of sites available to look into for your topic and time and time again I look at the first two or three sites that come up because I assume that this higher power ranks them from best to worst, but this simply isn’t true.  After my acceptance that there wasn’t a higher power per say but an actual system dictating this, I had to know more.

I decided to check out SEOFAQ, an internet site that offers a very simple and straight forward overview of what search optimization is and does, and then continues your SEO education by offering you nearly one hundred articles on everything from “Anatomy Optimization” and “Auto Redirecting Methods and Examples” to “Files buried on my server FAQ”.  After reading a few of these articles I thought that someone even with a little knowledge of this area could in fact learn what is useful to optimize ones web site.  Yet if you aren’t satisfied with these articles they also supply links to many other sites offering information on this topic.

ZIZFILE.COM - FAST and FREE file hosting

Zizfile.com is a site that offers free file hosting and free file backup service for individuals and individual businesses.   Basically you upload the file you want to share or back up onto the Zizfile.com servers, LAN and local disks.  What I liked at first was that you could use the service for free up to 100MB, unregistered even!  But there are a few perks if you do choose to enjoy the free service as a registered user.  Such as a better download interface and a higher priority for download slots available.  But nonetheless, almost immediately you can begin your upload, and if you notice that the download is slow then you can check out their premium services that run at less than a few dollars a month.Right now they are also running a syndicate program where you embed a code offered on the site to allow your users to upload information onto zizfile.com before they add a link to your sites forum, or guestbook for example.  They also talk about how your site can profit from this but then doesn’t really say how much or how that would happen and after checking the FAQ page there were no answers there either.  But I think the sheer convenience of it to your users is more important anyway.
